one day i will stop being afraid of letting other people in.

one day i will learn not to feel guilty for putting myself first.
one day i will believe that being loved isn’t contingent on anything; not how smart you are, or how hard you work, or how good you look, or how well you do (in school, at work, at life).
one day i will start being 100% proud of me.
one day i will stop blaming myself for things that aren’t my fault.
one day i will embrace sleeping alone in a too-big bed.
one day i will realize my mother did the best she could.
one day i will accept that it’s okay to not want to do it all on my own, that it’s okay to rely on someone else, and that it’s okay to be taken care of.
one day i will want to write again, just for me.
one day i will hear romance knocking at my door, or i won’t, but i will be happy.
one day i will become an amazing parent.
one day i will look back and see that everyone who said that my problems weren’t big problems was right.
one day is not right now, but one day i will be ready.
